Because of the use of antibiotics/antimicrobials indiscriminately even for viral infections, resistance to many antibiotics has emerged.

In this setting it is necessary to teach and train our medical students and also give the latest inputs to our faculty on the various aspects of antimicrobials, this CME cum workshop on “Antimicrobial resistance-Current Scenario” was conducted on 17.9.2019. Eminent speakers who are currently involved in the various aspects of teaching and training had been invited to speak on various aspects of antimicrobial resistance and the means to prevent it.
