Undergraduate Course: B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences

Duration: 4 years (3years + 1 year internship)

Eligibility: HSC / CBSE or Equivalent Examination with one of the following subject combination.

- Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics

- Physics, Chemistry Botany and Zoology.

The course provides hands on training to students along with a sound foundation in science. This will enable them to assist confidently in technology driven medical procedures. With the enormous development in the health care industry, these graduates will be much in demand both within the country and outside as Medical Technologists.

The candidate undergoes extensive training in internship under the supervision of senior consultants.During the internship period students are trained to evaluate patients, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans. They also undergo a small project work and submit it for evaluation.

Objectives : To train students in the clinical and technological aspects of medical care with a good scientific foundation. These students will be in a position to competently assist the Physician or Surgeon, especially in high-tech medical procedures to cater to the health care industry globally.

B.Sc Medical Lab technology

Objectives : The course forms the background for students planning to work in health care institutions or service agencies that provide assistance to the people with medical problems and or disabilities.

B.Sc Cardiac Technology

Objectives : To perform tests on patients to evaluate lung function and vascular health. Cardiopulmonary technicians and technologists work alongside doctors to study lung and blood vessel disorders in patients

B.Sc., Operation Theatre and Anesthesia Technology

Objectives: The Anesthesia Technology programme is designed to prepare students to assist the anesthesiologist and nurse anesthetist with the preparation of the equipment and supplies needed to deliver anesthesia to patients with supervision. The programme focuses on teaching students to maintain and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment and maintain a clear work environment.

B.Sc., Dialysis Technology

Objectives : To provide a thorough understanding on dialysis technology and impart skills in handling dialysis machine and the various procedures related to the management of patients attending nephrology services in the hospital.
