The Department of Anatomy, Tagore Medical College and hospital, organized a STATE LEVEL QUIZ COMPETITION - WORLD ANATOMY DAY 2024-TALENT TUSSLE;NEURO –NECK-OFF(BATTLE OF BRAIN POWER) on 28.10.2024. The State Level Quiz Competition, titled "Neuro Neck-Off," brought together participants from across the region to test their knowledge on head and neck anatomy in honor of World Anatomy Day 2024. The competition was structured in a dynamic quiz format that included multiple rounds, covering a range of topics, from basic anatomical structures to complex neural pathways associated with the head and neck. Totally 43 teams with 129 participants from 11 colleges were enthusiastically participated.Students traveled long way from Velammal Madurai,PSG Coimbatore for this competition. Five teams such as government kilpauk medical college,SRM medical college,Sri Muthukumuram Institute Of Medical Science,Panimalar Medical College,and our own college is selected for final quiz rounds which consists of five levels such as Round 1 - Facts Checked (Embryology),Round 2 – Connexions (Clinical Anatomy), Round 3 – Image Based Radiology (Case Scenario),Round 4 – Rapid Fire (Neuroanatomy),Round 5 – Buzzer Round (Histology) Adding to the excitement, the event featured a guest speaker Dr. Avinash. E, Consultant and Head, Pain Management and Critical Care on A New Era In Precision And Painlessness where he explored the evolving role of robotics in surgical procedures, diagnostics, and medical education and pain management. The session highlighted how advancements in robotic technology are revolutionizing head and neck surgeries, offering precision and minimally invasive approaches, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.The combination of anatomical knowledge and insights into cutting-edge technology provided comprehensive and engaging experience, promoting both educational growth and awareness of emerging fields.

Quiz master Dr. Pradeepa Sivasankari Natarajan played an exemplary role in conducting all the five rounds effectively. we witnessed active participation of the audience in the audience rounds. Winners are awarded with 3 cash prizes, Istprize – Rs.10,000 ,IInd prize- Rs 7,500,IIIrdprize- Rs 5,000 and honoured with medal and certificate of appreciation. The guest speaker and quiz master were also felicitated with certificate and momento and honourarium. In this event we also felicitated the medal exam winners Mr.Sakthivel,Ms.Sivakami with certificate and momento.The day ended with national anthem
