Department Of Dermatology, Venerology and Leprosy

Department is handled by most experienced faculties. All types of skin diseases , sexually transmitted diseases, HIV infection and leprosy are being treated. Special clinics are run on specified days for diseases like Psoriasis, Leprosy, Sexually transmitted infections , Vesiculobullous disorders, Pigmentary disorders and Autoimmune disorders. Adolescent reproductive and sexual health clinic is also run on Tuesdays and Fridays in collaboration with Department of Medicine, Psychiatry and Obstetrics and Gynecology . Special procedures like chemical cautery , electrocautery, intralesional injections of medicines, extirpation, comedone extraction, chemical peeling, plasma rich platelet therapy , microabrasion, dermaroller etc are done for certain skin conditions. In diagnostic dilemmas, Skin biopsies are carried out. PUVA chamber is also available in the department for the management of diseases like Vitiligo and Psoriasis. In Patient facilities (30 beds) is available for most of the dermatological conditions requiring hospitalization.
