(Letter of Consent issued by The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University vide Lr.No.Affln.III (3)/32878/2009 dt. 18.09.2009 and Provisional Affiliation for starting for first year MBBS degree course from the academic year 2010-2011 with an intake of 150 students was granted by the University vide letter No. Affln.III(3)/32878/2009 dated 29.07.2010.
Continuance of Provisional Affiliation was issued in the following references.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, in their Lr.No.F.No.U.12012/929 /2009-ME(P-II) dated 14.05.2010, have accorded permission with an annual intake of 150 (one hundred and fifty only) students with prospective effect i.e from the academic year 2010-2011 under section 10 (A) of IMC Act 1956 and also renewed the permission in their letter No.MCI-34(41)/2011-Med/20334 dated 28.06.2011 for admission of 2nd batch of students for the academic year 2011-2012, In their letter No. MCI-34(41)/2013-Med/28940 dated 23.08.2013 and letter No.MCI-34(41)/2013-Med/32602 dated 06.09.2013 renewed the permission of 4th batch students for the academic year 2013-2014. Permitted for renewal of permission for the year 2014-2015 on the basis of undertaking filed before Hon’ble Supreme Court (WP(C)No. 469 of 2014 ) ( vide MCI website)
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare , Government of India , New Delhi, in their Notification No. U.12012/224/2015-ME(P.II) dated. 17.04.2015 have “Recognized Medical Qualification “ granted by the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University in respect of students being trained at Tagore Medical College & Hospital , Tamil Nadu with intake of 150 MBBS students. This Notification had been published in Part II Section 3, Sub Section (II) of the Gazette of India.
Subsequently, the National Medical commission has granted approval for intake of 150 students to undergo MBBS degree course at Tagore Medical College and Hospital and affiliated by the Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University for the period of one year i.e for the year 2021-2022 in the letter No. NMC/UGR/2020/015423, Dated: 16.07.2021.
Subsequently, the National Medical Commission granted the approval for Continuance of Recognition for intake of 150 students at Tagore Medical College and Hospital for the award of MBBS degree by the Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University in the letter No. NMC-34(41)(CRO)/T.N/2021-22/048052 Dated: 20.10.2022.
Provisional Affiliation for starting for first year PG degree courses from the academic year 2020-2021 was approved by the Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University in their letter Proc. No.Affln.IV(1)/68378/ 2019, Dt:26.09.2020 for the following departments.
