The Speaker was <strong>Dr.Joanne Clarke, BA (HONS),MA,PGCHE,FHEA<\/strong> from Sheffield Hallam University, UK.  <\/p>\n<p>The program began with Tamilthaai Vaazhthu. Dr Kalaiselvi, executive director, Tagore Educational Trust delivered the welcome address. <strong>Dr Preetha Paul,<\/strong> Professor and Head, Department of Physiology introduced the speaker.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr Jo Clarke <\/strong>spoke regarding the importance of sports and its roles in the health of the individual, the community and the nation. She expounded on opportunities for higher studies in sports and physical activity available in Sheffield Hallam University.<br \/>\nThe program was attended by many faculty members from Tagore Medical College as well as about one hundred and fifty first year MBBS students.
