Tagore Medical College and Hospital welcomed The Class of 2016, in an Induction Program conducted in college Auditorium, on October 3rd<\/sup>, 2016.<\/strong><\/p>\n The program started with Prayer<\/strong> song rendered by 2nd<\/sup> Year medicos, followed by Lighting of Lamp<\/strong> by the dignitaries on stage, including Respected Chairperson, Mrs.Mala, MA MPhil, Dr.Shanta, MD, PhD Dean, \u00a0TMCH, Dr. Thiru Narayanan, MS, Medical Superintendent, TMCH and representatives of parents and students.<\/p>\n In the segment titled \u201cPursuing Excellence in Medical Education: History and Achievements\u201d, <\/em><\/strong>Dean introduced to the audience with a photo-essay showcasing the state-of-art infrastructure and learning facilities present in Tagore Medical College. Later, the Medical College faculty were introduced by Dean.<\/p>\n Dr. Thiru Narayanan, MS, Medical Superintendent, emphasized on the professional code of conduct for doctors in his session \u201cServing with Humanity\u201d <\/strong>and also introduced the clinical team working in Tagore Hospital to the gathering.<\/p>\n In a warm gesture, 2nd<\/sup> MBBS medicos invited The Class of 2016 by offering a fragrant, beautiful red rose as a symbol of love as their bond in this college.<\/p>\n Extolling the discipline standards enforced in the campus, Dr.VetriRaj, Professor, department of Radiology, presented TMCH-Rules and Regulations <\/strong>for the benefit of both parents and students. The message that Tagore is a RAGGING FREE ZONE was impressed upon the audience.<\/p>\n Mrs. Mala, Chairperson of Tagore group of Institutes, in her address titled \u201cMy Vision for Today\u2019s Medicos and Future Doctors\u201d<\/strong>-welcomed the class of 2016 and in her brief message called upon them to BE PASSIONATE in their learning and journey to become future doctors.<\/p>\n The most cherished moment for both parents and students was \u201cWhite Coat-Oath Ceremony\u201d-<\/em><\/strong>for Fresher\u2019s which was conducted by Dr. HemaLatha, Associate Professor, department of ENT, and all the students participated enthusiastically in undertaking the oath which officially initiated their adventurous journey into the world of medicine as torch bearers of healing the suffering of mankind.<\/p>\n Second MBBS students, Ms.Ratna and Mr. Kishore Kumar shared their experiences in \u201cJourney So Far\u201d<\/strong> which eased the feeling of \u2018newness\u2019 among the new entrants.
