On 05/07/2019 the department of Forensic Medicine toxicology conducted a CME on “MEDICO-LEGAL PROBLEMS IN CLINICAL PRACTICE”.
Dr. K. Ravindran M.D., Prof. & HOD of Forensic Medicine & toxicology, TMCH, gave an introduction about various topics on that day i.e., medico-legal problems in clinical practice, medical negligence & surrogacy and its medico – legal problems.
Dr. Edwin Joe M.D .B.L., Director of Medical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu was the chief guest and he delivered a lecture on “medico-legal problems in clinical practice”.
CME was attended by about 200 students of TMCH, 15 senior Forensic Medicine faculty members from various medical colleges and number of PG students from various colleges.
Dr. Selvakumar M.D. Professor & HOD of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, Kilpauk Medical College & Hospital, delivered a lecture on “ medical negligence”.
Dr.K. Srinivasulu M.D. Professor of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, Panimalar Medical College & Hospital, delivered a lecture on “surrogacy and its medico – legal problems” .
Dr. V. Jaya surya Prasad babu M.D., Asst. Prof.of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology ,TMCH had given vote of thanks. Students were of the opinion that the CME was beneficial to them and wanted similar useful CMEs to be conducted on regular basis, in their feedback.
